History

Students will explore world history from 550 to 1550 CE through engaging lessons that highlight major civilizations and empires across the globe. Topics include Imperial China, Heian Japan, the Holy Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, and more. The curriculum is secular and provides a broad, global perspective on the medieval world.

Art

Students will spend time each month learning about a well-know artist such as Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Georges Seurat, or Vincent Van Gogh. They'll explore the artist's style, practice foundational art techniques like stippling, blending, and cross-hatching, and complete a painting inspired by the artist. Seasonal projects will also be woven in throughout the year.

Music

Students will explore twelve different instrument families, learning about their unique characteristics, cultural origins, and the musicians who play them. Each class focuses on building music appreciation through listening, discussion, and visual examples.

Science

This year, our science program is designed to spark curiosity and wonder in students of all ages through engaging, hands-on learning.

Grades 1–2:
Our youngest scientists will dive into Little Hearts and Hands: Wind & Waves, a playful and age-appropriate introduction to the natural world. Through stories, experiments, and creative activities, students will explore the forces of wind and water while building a foundation for scientific thinking.

Grades 3–8:
Older students will journey through three exciting units: Wonders of Energy, Motion and Simple Machines, and Paleontology. They’ll investigate electricity, magnetism, force, gravity, and fossils through interactive lessons, experiments, and educational videos. These units are designed to foster a deeper understanding of how the world works—whether it’s powering a lightbulb, building a simple machine, or uncovering secrets from the Earth’s past.
